KidKoins are virtual coins that children earn by completing tasks and chores. Parents set the coin value per task. Once a task is completed and approved by a parent, the coins are automatically credited to the child's balance.
You can set screen time as a reward in the app. KidKoins integrates with Microsoft Family Safety (for Xbox and Windows) and iOS Screen Time (for iPhone and iPad). When a child has enough coins and chooses screen time as a reward, the extra time is automatically granted on the linked device.
The KidKoins app is available for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android (phones and tablets). Additionally, parents can manage their family through this website. Screen time integration works with Microsoft Family Safety (Xbox, Windows) and iOS Screen Time.
You can add up to 6 children to your family. This can be done during registration or later through the family overview in the app or on the website. Each child gets their own profile with a first name, age, avatar color, and a unique 4-digit PIN code.
Children log in with their first name and a unique 4-digit PIN code. This PIN is automatically created during registration and is visible to parents in the family overview. You can reset the PIN at any time if needed.
Absolutely. We follow GDPR guidelines and collect as little personal data from children as possible (only first name, age, and avatar color). Children do not need an email address. All data is stored encrypted and we never show advertisements. Read our privacy policy for more details.
Yes, you can delete your account at any time through your profile settings on the website. When deleted, all your data is permanently removed, including family information, tasks, and reward history. This cannot be undone.
KidKoins is currently in a free beta phase. This means all features are available at no cost. After the beta period, paid subscriptions will be introduced, but beta users will receive a special discount. Your data is preserved during the transition.
Yes! During registration or later through family settings, you can add a second parent or guardian. This person receives their own invitation and can also approve tasks and manage the family.
On the login page, you'll find a "Forgot password" option. Enter your email address and you'll receive a link to reset your password. The link is valid for 24 hours.
